Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program now has three access tiers for Claude models
What happened: The program previously covered Claude Opus and Sonnet at a single access level. It now offers three access tiers covering Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Mythos 5.1, and future models.
What it means for you: This change mainly affects security teams and outside vendors that use Claude. Ask your IT lead or security vendor whether they use Claude for cyber work and which access level they hold.
If your vendors use these models, include that status in your regular vendor risk review.

Claude users report account bans after ID verification with Russian documents
What happened: Meduza reported on 29-10-2026 that Claude users had accounts blocked after completing identity checks with Russian documents. Users said the checks ran through a third-party service called Persona.
One blocked user said he used his paid Claude account for both work and personal tasks. Anthropic has not commented on the complaints, and Claude said it cannot verify the authenticity of users' posts.
What it means for you: If your staff or contractors use personal Claude accounts for company work, a sudden ban can stop operations without notice. Ask your team which AI accounts they use, and move company work to corporate accounts.
You should also review what identity documents your workers upload to third-party verification tools. Ensure management approves any external identity checks.

Anthropic lists 27-10-2026 GSA agreement giving 40% off to partners
What happened: Anthropic's news page lists a 27-10-2026 GSA (General Services Administration) agreement. The agreement gives government partners a 40% discount on those products.
What it means for you: If your organization buys software through government schedules, ask your reseller for a quote reflecting the GSA discount. If you operate entirely in the private sector, this agreement does not affect your pricing.
